Versatile cooking companion for the Asian kitchen

Cooking can be a time consuming process, especially when making different dishes in multiple cooking vessels. Besides the wok, people use different pots for boiling food in Asia. Duo is designed to replace these different pots with one product to make cooking more efficient.

The main body is designed for low pressure-cooking, the core however can be used to boil food at the same time. Duo heats up faster due to the special body geometry, to reduce the cooking time. Combining two cooking pots in one product makes Duo also the perfect hot pot solution, a common cooking method in China.

When looking at Asian cooking behaviors, it became quickly clear that the wok is the ’multi-tool’’ of the kitchen. But for the preparation of soups, noodles and boiled vegetables, people use various other cookware pots.

Limited stove space in combination with multiple dishes that are served during one dinner, results in a extensive cooking process time.

How can we introduce one pot that is suitable for all boiling preparations in the Asian cuisine?

The solution
Cook, dine and store

Duo combines the function of a low pressure cooker and soup pot in one product. The main body can be sealed airtight for low-pressure cooking. The inner pot with separate lid can be used for boiling food in parallel. Cooking multiple dishes at the same time in one unit gives better control and makes the process more efficient.

The enlarged surface that is in contact with the heat source, heats up faster compared to normal pots. Sealing off the vessel for low pressure-cooking, reduces cooking time and makes the food more healthy and tasty. The two pots together form the right shape for a hot pot, often used in China for social dining scenarios.

Dual cooking

The combination of 2 cookware vessels in one unit allows users to make two dishes at the same time.

Smart lid

The Bakelite handle on the lid can be used as a stand, to maintain the hygiene and keep both hands free for stirring.

Speed and efficiency

The increased contact surface of the main body with the heating source requires less time to heat up food.

The two pots are of equal height, offering convenient access and maneuvering of food in a social dining setting.
